GlakoLens participated in the BioTurkey StartHub challenge along with 20 start-ups working on medical and pharmaceutical technologies. GlakoLens pitched it’s 24-h continuous intraocular pressure monitoring contact lens technology to a prestigious jury of medical practitioners, investors and academicians.
During BioTurkey 2020, GlakoLens had meetings with TÜSEB (NIH equivalent in Turkey) and TİTCK (FDA equivalent in Turkey). Both of these organizations declared their support for guidance on satisfying regulatory requirements and bringing our technology to the market. Additionally, IVEK Foundation’s R&D & Biotechnology Commission committed to in-kind support throughout the journey of GlakoLens.
IVEK Foundation’s R&D & Biotechnology Commission is set to hold the BIO Turkey Event with an international perspective in an effort to improve the medical and pharmaceutical biotechnology ecosystem in Turkey and make sure all stakeholders offer their inputs.
BIO Turkey is intended to gather all direct or indirect stakeholders in medical and pharmaceutical biotechnology and serve as an efficient platform where challenges and solutions concerning the biotechnological ecosystem are discussed by public and non-governmental organizations, universities and businesses in Turkey.
StartHUB platform, where start-ups or businesses with research on products that have yet to be turned into an initiative will gather, is a hub where research meets sponsors or investors.
